Jordan White currently serves as the Director of Bands for the Monett R-1 School District and is in his 15th year of teaching. He is in his fifth year leading the Monett Band Program, where he continues to build a strong tradition of musical excellence and student growth.

Mr. White was born in Ft. Sill, Oklahoma, while his father was stationed there with the U.S. Army. Following his father's transition out of military service, the family settled in Lockwood, Missouri. Mr. White attended Immanuel Lutheran School and later graduated from Lockwood High School.

He earned his Bachelor of Music Education degree with an emphasis in Instrumental Music from Pittsburg State University in December, 2010. During his time at PSU, he held leadership positions in University Housing as both a Resident Assistant and Assistant Residence Hall Director. Mr. White completed his student teaching at Carl Junction R-1 Schools and went on to earn his Master of Music in Wind Conducting from Pittsburg State in the spring of 2012.
Mr. White began his teaching career as the Assistant Band Director at Seneca High School in Seneca, Missouri, where he spent four years helping to develop a thriving music program. He then served as the Director of Bulldog Bands at El Dorado Springs R-2 Schools, where he grew the band program from 51 to over 1500 students. Under his leadership, the high school band earned four consecutive MSHSAA State Large Group Superior Ratings (2017, 2018, 2019, and 2021) and numerous student accolades at both the district and state levels.

Mr. White is an active member of the National Association for Music Education, Missouri Bandmasters Association, Missouri Music Educators Association, Southwest Missouri Music Educators Association, and the Association of American Educators.

Outside the classroom, Mr. White enjoys performing with his brass quintet, The Banana 5; spending time outdoors with his horse, Tank; hanging out with his dog, Weston; and making memories with his family and nephews.
