The Monett “America 250” Community Concert Band was created to bring musicians from across our community together for a once-in-a-generation celebration of our nation’s 250th Birthday. This ensemble is more than just a concert — it is an opportunity for students, alumni, educators, community musicians, and music lovers to unite through the power of music and celebrate the spirit of America together.
We are incredibly excited to begin this new musical adventure and cannot wait to see musicians of all ages and backgrounds come together to create something special for our community. Whether you have been performing for years or haven’t opened your instrument case in a while, this ensemble is designed to be welcoming, fun, and filled with community pride.

Our goal is simple:
To celebrate America, celebrate Monett, and celebrate the joy of making music together.

Throughout this experience, we hope participants build new friendships, reconnect with old bandmates, and create lasting memories while preparing an exciting patriotic performance for Monett’s Fourth of July celebration in South Park.

While this ensemble begins as part of the America 250 celebration, our hope is that this group becomes an annual tradition for our community for many years to come. We would love to see this ensemble continue growing each year as a way to bring musicians and community members together through music, pride, and tradition.

Thank you for your interest in being part of this historic event. We are honored to have you join us as we celebrate 250 years of America through music, community, and tradition.

Musically,
